Combination Work
Combinational work is basically a combination of Bridge and Removable Denture. It consists of two parts: fixed/cemented bridgework and removable partial denture.
Combination treatment can serve as a viable dental solution in situations where a patient lacks sufficient natural teeth for traditional bridgework or when placing dental implants isn’t feasible.
This approach involves the preparation of porcelain bridgework, which is securely affixed after the existing teeth are minimally altered. This fixed component provides stability to the removable denture portion by means of a connecting attachment that links the bridgework and denture.
For an optimal outcome, the use of a “precision attachment” fixture, such as Preci-Vertix, is recommended. This attachment method securely connects the bridgework to the partial denture.
Combinational Work (Metal Ceramic Bridge with Removable Denture)
Combination dental work entails the integration of both fixed and removable restorations, drawing upon the advantages of both approaches. This technique offers superior retention and aesthetics, all while maintaining meticulous hygiene standards, especially suited for the needs of senior citizens. The range of combination work encompasses various options such as telescope prostheses, Preci-Vertix attachments, magnetic attachments, ERA attachments, MK1 attachments, and stud-snap attachments.
